Dragon Happenings
Dear Imagine Families,
We're anxious to start week three with our baseline testing behind us. Our students worked hard on their SAT10 in grades 1-8, our benchmark testing in math and science in grades 2-8 and our writing baseline assessment. So much assessment, but the data is critical to helping us design instruction based on your child's needs.
Thank you to our parents that brought in their classroom supplies, or made a check payable to Imagine for $40 to cover the supplies. We have a few parents that still need to contribute, and this is a friendly reminder.
Don't forget to sign up to be a volunteer for this school year! A reminder to parents that siblings are not allowed to accompany parents on field trips, while volunteering in the classroom, or during classroom parties.
Bus Driver: We are adding a fourth bus next year, and are in need of back up drivers or substitute drivers. If you have a CDL license and are interested in being a bus driver, please contact theresa.reed@imagineschools.com .

|  Some parents are having difficulty logging onto eSembler. We expect that all files will be updated within the next few days. We're sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for their patience!

Arrival/Dismissal
|  Many thanks to our parents that are working with us as we work on improving the speed of our arrival and dismissal.
It's been brought to my attention that the 20 minute drop off window in the morning is problematic. Parents are dropping off at the field door from 8:30-8:45. At 8:45 our safety patrol goes to their classroom for the start of school at 8:50. We'll try several modifications this week to see if it eliminates the back up.
Walk up at the front door is limited to parents that must be at an appointment by 4. This needs to be arranged with Kristen Conway at the front desk.
Some parents have been waiting in car line for long periods of time. I encourage you to get to the school by 3:45 and you won't have to wait. |
Photography News
|  Mr. Denson's photography class is looking for donation cameras. If your camera is not being used,
then the middle school yearbook club and photography students will definitely appreciate your donation.
Our thanks to Best Buy who donated some high quality camera lenses when Mr. Denson approached them. We don't have cameras for them, and Best Buy suggested we sell them and use the funds to purchase more affordable equipment.

Seats Available
|  We have some seats still available in grades 1-5. If you have previously applied, please contact us if you'd like to enroll your child at Imagine. Before we offer remaining seats to new applicants, we want to be sure we've provided for those that already applied. Unfortunately, all our buses are full so we can't provide transportation.

Imagine Dancers with Coach Liska!
|  The Imagine Dance Club teaches students teamwork, discipline and commitment. Members are shown how to express their creative gifts through dance! The club strives to help members gain basic dance moves of Salsa, Meringue, Hip Hop, Reggae, Pop, and more. Additional benefits are improved coordination, body awareness/respect, self-esteem and a lifelong love for fitness. Imagine Dancers will meet on Tuesdays from 4-5pm and is open to students in Kindergartner to 8th grade. Space is limited to 15 students. To get your child started just fill out the attached registration form and return it to Imagine with a check payable to Liska Garcia. Thank you for your interest! Parents for Character Committee

The Character Education Committee is dedicated to creating the most positive learning environment possible at our school. We help our students focus each month on an important trait of good character and support teachers in recognizing students who exemplify those values. We are in need of parent volunteers!! Our first meeting is scheduled for Thursday September 6th at 4pm. Please contact Meagan Smith at meagan.smith@imagineschools.com if you would like to volunteer with this committee.
