Dear Imagine Families,

SchoolTraffic

Pasco County just announced that all schools will be closed on Monday due to Tropical Storm Isaac.  Imagine School follows the district in determining school on severe weather days, so Imagine will also be closed on Monday.

The first week of school went very smoothly.  We've improved the drop off and pick up times, and the students are getting used to knowing where to go at the end of the day.  The traffic light was synchronized to allow more cars to exit during arrival and dismissal time, and the buses are adjusting their schedules. We thank all our parents for following our staff directing traffic so everyone remains safe.

We have a few AfterCare businesses that provide van transportation in the afternoon.  If your child rides one of these vans, please notify them when your child is absent from school.  We've had vans waiting for students at the end of the day.

This week we'll administer our baseline testing to all students in grades 1-8.  It is a quiet campus, and volunteers are not allowed in the classrooms in the morning.  Students will transition quietly to support every student's best effort on these tests.  Kindergarten is administered a kindergarten readiness test, but we will wait another week to allow them to settle in.

We've eliminated the Walk Up option this year.  If you need your child on specific days due to appointments, please e-mail Kristen Conway             ( kristen.conway@imagineschools.com.) at the front desk.  Last year it became dangerous with so many students going to walk up.  This year it will be only for those parents who contact the office because there's a specific need on certain days.

Please be sure to get a car tag for pick up line!  If you don't have a tag, you'll be sent to the office to show identification and to pick up your child.
                             No Tag = No Student

Don't forget to sign up to be a volunteer for this school year!

Bus Driver: We are adding a fourth bus next year, and are in need of back up drivers or substitute drivers.  If you have a CDL license and are interested in being a bus driver, please contact theresa.reed@imagineschools.com  .

Seats Available
Enrollment We have some seats still available in grades 1-5. If you have previously applied, please contact us if you'd like to enroll your child at Imagine.  Before we offer remaining seats to new applicants, we want to be sure we've provided for those that already applied.  Unfortunately, all our buses are full so we can't provide transportation.

Please contact Meagan Smith at meagan.smith@imagineschools.com if you would like to volunteer with this committee.
