Dragon Happenings
Dear Imagine Families,
Tomorrow we start the first day of the 2012-13 school year! Teachers will be in the classrooms to greet the students at 8:30. Our buses are ready to roll, and safety patrol and Coach Lance are ready to help with student drop off by the soccer field door.
We have just a few seats left, and will calling parents on the waiting list to get us to our 654 student capacity. Thank you to everyone for spreading the word about Imagine.
This issue has the updated Family Handbook in the Quick Links, as well as the August breakfast and lunch menus. The staff has also designated the Early Release Days for the year, and they're noted under Save the Date. The first early release will be September 19th for fall conferences.
Amera Nelken has agreed to be our music instructor this year for our K-5 students. Your child will study a different genre of music every 6 weeks, and we plan to have 4th and 5th graders learn to play the recorder! The first genre of study will be folk music.
Please be sure to get a car tag for pick up line! If you don't have a tag, you'll be sent to the office to show identification and to pick up your child.
No Tag = No Student
Bus Driver: We are adding a fourth bus next year, and are in need of back up drivers or substitute drivers. If you have a CDL license and are interested in being a bus driver, please contact theresa.reed@imagineschools.com .

| Middle School Lockers |  Locks will be signed out to seventh and eighth graders this week. We expect the sixth grade lockers (same size and color) to arrive in a few weeks.
Students will need to rent a combination lock for the year for $5. Students may not purchase their own lock. |

Gathering Pointe Church Provides Backpacks
|  We are happy to share the following message from our neighbors at our temporary site:
Gathering Pointe Church is humbled and excited to be able to provide several backpacks for students of Imagine School. For the last couple of weeks, Gathering Pointe has been collecting backpacks and essential school supplies in hopes of being a blessing during these hard economical times. Our mission at church is to "Know God and Bless the World" and we hope we were able to accomplish that in some small way. Supplies
|  We've made a concerted effort to limit the amount of dollars parents need to spend on supplies this year. Supply lists for grades K-5 are listed below. Parents have the option of purchasing the supplies or writing a check for $40 to Imagine School and the dollars will be allocated to your child's teacher supply account.

Immunizations
|  Students must be up to date on all vaccinations in order to start school in August. Please schedule a visit with your child's doctor before the start of school.

We had great success this past year with the sale of our Yearbook, but we also know many of you did not get a Yearbook because we ran out of copies. We don't want to see this happen to you next year, so we are starting the sale of our 2012-2013 Yearbook now!
