Chicken Little:
A BBQ Competition for
Your Little Chef
The "Chicken Little" BBQ event pits children from the ages of 6 -16 in a contest to see who can BBQ the best chicken in Hammond. Rules will state that an adult must accompany the children, but the children will have to do all of the preparation, seasoning & cooking on their own. Parents may help in the sectioning of the chicken only. Judges will award prizes from 1st to 10th prizes in this category. All entries will need to bring their own BBQ Pit. Only charcoal pits will be allowed. No gas pits please!
Awards:
- 1st Place Award and free entry into 2012 event
- 1st Thru 10th Place Awards
- Each Team member receives a certificate
- 1st Place Site Award

Running for Charity:
A 1Mile Fun Run & 5K
DATE: Saturday, March 24, 2012 LOCATION: Downtown Hammond
TIME: 1 mile fun run-8:30am, 5K run-9:00am
COURSE: The course will be out and back, around beautiful Southeastern Louisiana University WATERSTATION: 1 water station will be located at the1.5 mile mark.
ENTRY FEE: $20.00 before March 18th, $25.00 late registration (March 24th - race day)
T-SHIRTS: Guaranteed to pre-registered runners by March 18th. Late and race day entrants will receive T-shirts as available after the race. Sizes not guaranteed to late entrants.
