Are you looking for a fun night out with friends? Interested in making a fun donation to the discovery center and leave your mark? Then this event is all for you!
Whether you are a business OR an individual give a gift of style to the discovery center this year! Style Your Tile...With a Twist will be held at the Hammond Painting With a Twist. If you have a design you'd like to do - great! If not, Tweety from Painting With a Twist will sketch a design on your tile for you!
The fee is $50.00 per 2X2 tile or $100 for the 2x$ tile and registration is required. Please call 985-340-9150 or email kim@lcdcofhammond.org.

Kick Off Your Holiday With Cookies!

 It's time for Christmas Cookies again! This year Sweet Ideas the Cake Shoppe will prepare a box set of 6 Christmas shaped sugar cookies and teach you the tricks needed to decorate your very own cookies! The fee is $10 for members or $12 for non members (per boxed set). This is appropriate for children ages 6 and up! Register by Wednesday, 12/14/11. Gingerbread Man*ia!

Wednesday, December 21 at 10am, 12pm OR 2pm
 Run, Run As Fast As You Can....Register your kiddo(s) (ages 4 and up) for this fun event. Ms. Carolyn take children through a whimsical journey as they chase the Gingerbread Man until they find him. Kids will also create a unique craft, decorate mini-gingerbread men and more.

Brownie-in-a-Bowl Gifts To Go!

Thursday, December 22 at 10:30am-11:30am
 Kids can create their own "gift to go" by layering homemade holiday brownie ingredients in a Pampered Chef "batterbowl" and then decorating it to take home. They'll have fun creating this great gift for a friend or family member! The fee for this activity is $20 for non-members or $25 for members. This is appropriate for children ages 4 and up! Round-the-Clock New Year's Eve Celebration!
|
 The following fun activities will be done throughout the day. Countdowns will begin with 5 minutes before each hour: - "Bubble Wrap Stomp" Kids make sounds of fireworks as they jump up and down on bubble wrap at the end of each countdown.
- Noisemaker Shakers Kids may pick up these noisemakers, hats, horns & poppers to use during each countdown.
- 10 Second Countdown Playologists will guide children through the 10 second countdown to each hour.
- NY, NY Dance Join the playologists as they dance to NY NY in the aisle throughout the day!
- Sparkling Pink Celebration Punch: Kids and parents can enjoy refreshments throughout their stay.
- Resolution Firecrackers: Kids will have fun making a firecracker art activity/craft to bring home.
- Firing Fireworks: Kids will enjoy using a straw to make a fun fireworks activity.
- Resolution Revolution: Make a resolution to make play a priority for 2012!
Admission is $5.50 per person and we're open from 10am-6pm! |
