More About the Bee...
 Now you can send your 4th-8th grade students to the Scripps National Spelling Bee! It has been a long time since students in our area had the opportunity to advance to the Spelling Bee but now you can and it's so easy! Here's how you can participate: - Visit the Scripps National Spelling Bee website & register by 12/16/11. The fee is $109 which includes a long list of resources & tools to help you!
- Hold your school-level spelling bee to select a winner by 1/15/11.
- Send your champion to the LCDC Spelling Bee (date TBA but will be between 2/1/12 and 3/28/12.
The winner of the LCDC Spelling Bee will advance to the Sripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC with an all expenses paid trip for the champion and one adult chaperone. Isn't that easy? Please to all of your teacher friends, principals and parents! This is open to all children in our 17 parish region including public, parochial & home schools! |
