Discovery Science! "What's Up CO2?"

Thursday, September 8 at 4:30pm Stop by for some cool science with Dr. Georgina Little and some of her students from Southeastern Louisiana University. Kids will discover the following:
- what a chemical reaction is
- how to detect carbon dioxide using another chemical
- how to make CO2 & detect it
- how chemical changes occur when they change the conditions of the experiment

It's Teddy Bear Time!

Friday, September 9 from 10am-6pm
We love your teddy bear too and know that he wants to play too! Bring your teddy bear with you this Friday for some very special teddy bear activities!

- teddy bear repair (minor repairs only from 10am-1pm)
- special appearance from Alexis Ducorbier State Farm "Good NeighBear"!
- special "Certificate of Good Health" for every bear

Duct Tape Creations with Garret!

Wednesday, Sept 14 from 4:30-6:00pm
Have you heard about Garrett Sherman? This young man is doing something really cool! Garrett is a high school student who has been using duct tape to create everything from shoes, wallets, belts, bracelets & more! We've got him coming to the discovery center one day NEXT WEEK (Sept 13-16). His duct tape workshop will inspire kids to think outside the box, work creatively & have them leaving with a duct tape creation of their own. Garrett will be teaching how to make a belt & bracelet out of duct tape!
This class is perfect for children ages 8 and up and is limited to 15 people so call 985-340-9150 or email Kim Walker if you would like to register. The class will be from 4:30-6pm. This cost for this class will be $8 for members or $10 for non-members!

Super-Science After Hours!

Saturday, September 17 from 6:00-9:00pm This super cool science night will leave kids of all ages in a state of wow & wonder! Join us for this special night jam packed full of amazing science activities!
