 Operation Love My Flag!
Kids have spirit, pride & passion for many things. We want to make sure that the American Flag is one of those things that get kids excited! So join us on FLAG DAY, Tuesday, June 14 as the Shiloh Homemakers present an educational performance to teach kids the history of the flag and more (presentation at 12:00 noon). Kids will also enjoy creating their own American Flag with a variety of materials, participate in a "Patriot Parade" and all while developing a better sense of pride in our awesome country! We also have a special project for the kids of the discovery center to get involved in, but it's a secret! To find out - come on out on Tuesday, June 14! |

Calling all fudge lovers! We are looking for you to bring your best fudge for a big sample & swap party!
Please email Kim Walker to let her know that you will bring a batch (or two) of fudge and also your fudge recipe. We will get the recipes put together and ready for the fudge sample & swap.

Spectrum Discovery Day!

Saturday, June 18 (3 different sessions)
Spectrum Discovery Day is a special private time for children on the Autism Spectrum and their families to experience the discovery center with modified exhibits, a lighter crowd & limited noise. We will have dedicated, specifically trained staff & volunteers present for this special activity! This is a collaborative effort between the LCDC & the Communication Sciences & Disorders department of Southeastern. Donut Discovery Day!

Discover the fun in donuts! Learn how the donut is made then spend some time icing & decorating your own donut! We'd like to thank University Donuts of Hammond for sponsoring this event and sharing their delicious yummy donuts with us!

The Museum Comes to Life Day!

 Friday, June 24 at 10am
We've got a day full of surprises planned for you on this special "The Museum Comes to Life Day!".
The excitement will begin at 10am and we hope that you will mark your calendar for this special time! We'll start over at our new multi-purpose room, "Piper's Nest" as we plan for a ribbon cutting and very special, big surprise! Then all day long we will have special guests in many of our exhibit areas to help bring each area to life that day! Bring a friend! |
