North Oaks is looking for a name for their new daVinci surgical robot and needs your help!  Now through Friday, April 15 you can submit your name for the robot by completing the entry form at the Louisiana Children's Discovery Center.

The Hammond High School Robotics Team the discovery center's FIRST Lego League, Bayou Builders, will select the winning name.  The name will be announced on Wednesday, April 20 from 5-5:30pm.  From 1-6pm guests can visit with the Doctors who will use the robot during their surgeries.

 Do you love Words with Friends? Then this is for you! 

Have a blast with this Scrabble twist!  We will have a Scrabble tournament the week of April 12-15th. Teams (up to 4 people and at least 2 must be children ages 8 and up) will play the Scrabble game of "100" where you're given 30 minutes, as a team, to use all 100 tiles on the Scrabble board.  The teams to come in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place the week of the tournament will win prizes!

Creative Clowning for Kids!    

In this 8 session, interactive & fun workshop kids ages 8-12 years will learn the basics of clowning, how to apply clowning make-up, costume tips, puppets, magic and learn a skit on safety. 

At the end of the 8 session workshop children will perform the skit for friends & family!

The workshop is $25 and will include your very own clown makeup kit, mirror, skits & accessories. 

Sessions will be Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning April 19 and will last from 4pm - 6pm.
