AACo Announces 2012 Annual Conference Venue

AACo LogoThe location of the 2012 Annual Conference & Tradeshow has been chosen, and was announced yesterday to all exclusively on the AACo YouTube Channel.

The AACo channel features weekly video updates on various Association news, and announcements like this one.  For more information on the 2012 Conference, stay tuned to the AACo channel.  And be sure to share any ideas you have for the conference and its educational programs with Jeff Curwen.

NACo/Nationwide Annual Scholarships Available
Each year, NACo and Nationwide Retirement Solutions team up to help high school seniors learn the importance of saving early and financial planning. In order to help impress those lessons and to start students off on the right foot, Nationwide will be giving four college scholarships -- each worth $2,000 -- to college-bound seniors whose parent or grandparent participates in NACo's 457 Deferred Compensation Plan.

Eligible students must be enrolling in an accredited two- or four-year college for the fall term of the 2012-2013 school year; legal U.S. residents; and apply between March 1 and April 16, 2012.

If you have a child or granchild that may qualify, they can get more details and apply online with NACo or Nationwide
Financial Disclosure Law Webinar March 9th

Reporting gifts and expenditures can be a tricky proposition, especially when every jurisdiction has its own rules.  But current legislation has proposed a more uniform system of financial disclosure for Arizona public employees.  AACo has kept a close eye on this issue and will be presenting  an educational webinar on Friday, March 9th at noon to bring our members up to speed.
