Are You Familiar
with Hemp-Silk?

ellecante designer Luzifer utilizes hemp-silk in a number of pieces, including the Asymmetrically Seamed Dress (above). The luxurious, environmentally friendly fiber is made by cross-weaving two components: hemp and silk.

With one side matted hemp and the other side shiny silk, hemp-silk blends are strong and durable, in addition to having a lustrous, radiant sheen that makes them perfect for high fashion garments.

Additional Luzifer Fabrics

Hemp-silk isn't the only fabric Luzifer utilizes in their various pieces. The German designer also uses hemp (above) and linen (left) fiber to create environmentally friendly garments:

Hemp is extremely durable, and gets softer and softer with use. Known for stretching less than any other natural fiber, hemp doesn't wear out and is naturally resistant to mold and ultraviolet light. Read more about hemp on the ellecante website.

Linen is highly absorbent and a good conductor of heat, yet it feels cool to the touch. The strongest of the vegetable fibers, linen fibers are very durable, do not stretch and are resistant to damage from abrasion. Read more about linen on the ellecante website.
