David York promoted to Regional Account Manager

WMEP recently appointed David York as its Southeast Regional Account Manager.
Since 2007, York has been serving southeast Wisconsin manufacturers as a senior manufacturing specialist and has led the development of a key service line for WMEP. York said, "My new role gives me the opportunity to focus on serving the area's small and midsize companies that have not yet benefitted from WMEP's Next Generation Manufacturing services."

Fact vs Fiction: What Manufacturers Need to Know about the Affordable Care Act

On June 28, 2012, the United Supreme Court upheld the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act ("Affordable Care Act" or "ACA"). The ACA was passed in March of 2010 and many of its provisions have already been put into effect in most group health plans including: - coverage of adult dependent children up to age 26,
- prohibitions on annual and lifetime limits, and
- certain preventive care services being provided with no cost-sharing.
This ruling will keep all of those provisions in place and the remaining ACA provisions will likely take effect as planned over the coming years, including: - no exclusion of pre-existing conditions
- revised W-2 reporting, and
- the opening of health insurance exchanges in each state.
