Greetings!
Yesterday, Paul Jadin, CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC, formerly Commerce), announced funding for an additional 30 companies to participate in the Wisconsin Profitable Sustainability Initiative (PSI).
PSI is a highly successful program launched in 2010 that has already fueled savings, growth and competitive advantage for 45 small and midsize manufacturers - the five year economic impact is expected to be $54 million in savings, retained sales and investment.

How to apply for the PSI program

The Wisconsin Profitable Sustainability Initiative provides practical assistance to small and midsize manufacturers through:
- Operational diagnostics, assessments and analyses
- A 25% matching grant for implementation of priority projects-up to an additional $11,000
A team of experts will be deployed to work with company management and identify and prioritize high impact, sustainable opportunities to fuel improved financial and operational performance. Areas of expert assistance include:
- Process optimization
- Energy use and waste reduction
- Logistics and product transport
- New product and process development
When appropriate, the team will include a financial expert to assess financial performance and identify credits, grants, incentives or other financing available to support the company's sustainability initiatives.
Diagnostic, assessment and analysis activities are provided at no cost to participating firms through this program.
