We would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to one of our

previous customers, Janet Stewart. She passed away January 26th after many years of battling breast cancer. We witnessed her strength and generosity of spirit first-hand when we did a room addition for their family several years ago. All throughout the project she kept upbeat, despite the fact that she was undergoing treatment at the same time. Project scheduling would sometimes have to be worked around her medical appointments, but Janet never let it bother her - she was truly one of the most easy-going people we have ever encountered.
When not rooting for her favorite sports teams, she donated lots of her time to her church and her daughters' school activities. She was a master at coordinating festivals and bake sales. She was always looking for ways to better the world around her and using her abundant energy to raise money for the causes that were special to her.
She was fond of saying: "Never feel sorry for yourself; there's someone else out there worse off than you. Dying isn't something I'm afraid of. I've come to accept it. Leaving behind the ones who aren't ready for me to go is the hardest part."
Those she did leave behind - her doting husband, Ken and beautiful daughters, Janelle, Vanessa & Natalie - were right by her side the whole way. Janet was a beautiful person and she will live on in the hearts of all of us who knew her.
This month, in her honor, we want to help raise the awareness for those foundations fighting to find a cure for breast cancer. Let's all follow Janet's example and dedicate ourselves to ending it now!
