Out of Tuition Assistance?
Due to budget cuts, many branches of the military are running low or out of tuition assistance for military members.
There are plenty of other options for paying for your college classes. Most military members are eligible for Federal Financial Aid, Pell Grants and other Scholarship Opportunitieis. In addition, it's likely there are VA benefits available to you while you're still active duty. Contact a financial aid or VA counselor today to find out about other funding options. |

Meet Thomas Goldsberry: the new CMVE website administrator!
Thomas Goldsberry is the new website administrator for CMVE. He started at TCC in October of this year and he brings a wealth of military background along with him.

Thomas was raised in the Army and served 28 years in the Navy on board submarines. While in the Navy, Goldsberry received his Associates degree and began work on his Bachelors degree through St. Leo University. He is currently just a few classes away from earning his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration: Technology Management with a minor in Information Security. He plans to complete this degree in April of 2012, and then complete the remaining classes to finish a second Bachelor's degree in Information Systems. He plans to complete this program by July 2012.
Goldsberry notes that "Getting my AA before I got out of the Navy helped me with finding a job." But he goes on to stress the importance of continuing your education through to a Bachelor's and even a Masters degree.
In his position at the CMVE, Goldsberry says "I am always happy to help a student with any questions they might have, if I don't know the answer I will point them in the right direction." His day to day tasks include keeping the CMVE and VA websites up to date and easy to use. He will also be putting together a Facebook page for the center once it has been approved.
Please join us in welcoming Thomas Goldsberry to the CMVE team! |
