MyCAA makes a comeback . . .
Find out if you're eligible for this military-spouse program and how you can get started with it at TCC.
MyCAA, a program created to help military spouses pursue transportable degrees, licensures and certifications took a break this year to re-organize and re-structure the program. The Department of Defense will officially re-open the MyCAA program to eligible military spouses starting on October 25th. In order to be eligible for the benefits, you must meet the following requirements:
MyCAA accounts will now be limited to a $4,000 maximum benefit with a $2000 fiscal year cap. Waivers to the fiscal year cap will be available for spouses pursuing licensure or certification with a cost that exceeds the $2,000 fiscal year cap up to the total maximum assistance of $4,000.
Spouses must now finish their program of study within three years from the start date of the first course.*
TCC is an ideal place to use your MyCAA funds. Nearly all of our degrees, certifications and workforce development licensure and certification programs are eligible for MyCAA funding. If going full-time, none of our programs take more than three years, and given our reasonable tuition rates, you can stretch your funding dollars further.
To apply for MyCAA, visit the Military One Source website. Once approved, see a TCC counselor to get started on your program of choice.
*All information regarding MyCAA for this story was gathered from the official Military One Source Website. Please visit their website for more information and specific questions regarding policies and procedures. |
Learn what MyTCC can do for you . . . Make tuition payments and view your financial aid. MyTCC is your 24/7 access to all your TCC information and tools. The MyTCC button, located at the top of any www.tcc.edu page is your one-stop shop for student E-mail access, Blackboard, Student Information System (SIS), and more. By accessing the Student Information System, you can make payments on your account any time of the day or night. If you're using financial aid, you can also check on the status of your aid and see if payments have been credited.
To do this, log into MyTCC, click on VCCS SIS:89, then go to "campus finances." Once there, you have the option to make a payment, accept awards and financial aid, view your financial aid status and make an account inquiry. Avoid rushing to the campus on the tuition deadline and make your payments online - hassle free! |
