How to survive the semester. . .

Your guide to student services that can help you survive tough classes, test anxiety, time management and more.

TCC offers its students a variety of services ranging from career counseling to tutoring to time management skills. Whatever you're struggling with, our counselors and student services representatives can help you find a way to overcome that tough class or nagging issue. All these services are free and open to the student body.

A variety of free tutoring is available at all four campuses.

Counselors at all of our campuses and bases are available for consultation all semester.

FOCUS orientation sessions can help new and returning students learn about their campus and the services it provides. Sign up online for the next session.

TCC's Women's Center is a resource that works to promote an atmosphere where diversity, inclusiveness and equity are valued.

For eligible participants, the Open Door Project can provide free tutoring, study skills workshops, financial aid counseling and more.

Get social and join in on TCC's various student activities.

Open computer labs are available at all four campuses, giving students a place to catch up on school work while on campus.
MyTCC
Learn what MyTCC can do for you.

Keep on top of your online and hybrid classes via MyTCC . . .

MyTCC is your 24/7 access to all your TCC information and tools. The MyTCC button, located at the top of any www.tcc.edu page is your one-stop shop for student E-mail access, Blackboard, Student Information System (SIS), and more.
If you're taking an online course this semester, it's critical that you log in to your MyTCC account 4-5 times a week to check your student E-mail and visit your course's blackboard site. Professors are required to communicate with students via their TCC E-mail account, so make sure you check it regularly for updates.
Updates that your professor puts on Blackboard are not automatically sent to your E-mail, so make sure you're also logging in to Blackboard and reading through your announcements and assignments. If you are enrolled in a hybrid or enhanced class, you'll want to make sure you are checking your E-mail and Blackboard on a regular basis as well.
If you ever have problems accessing your MyTCC account or need assistance with any part of the MyTCC system, you can always contact the Information Center through the online Help request form, or by calling 757-822-1122.
We'd love to hear from you!
