Tuition Deadlines...
When are they and what do they mean?
Tuition deadlines generally occur a few weeks before the start date of the semester. August 6th is the tuition deadline for all classes during the fall semester. On the tuition deadline, if a student has not paid for the courses they are currently enrolled in, they will be dropped from all their classes. Students can still enroll in classes after the tuition deadline, but payment must be made on the same day of enrollment, or the classes will be dropped off their schedule every night at midnight. Payments can be made at any campus business office, or online using your MyTCC account. Military Tuition Assistance vouchers must be taken to the campus business office for payment after the tuition deadline.
Remember, if you enroll in a course and turn in your tuition assistance or payment before the tuition deadline, you have nothing to worry about. All your classes will be held on your schedule. So the earlier you get your paperwork done, the better.
For campus business office hours and locations, please visit their website.

Thinking about taking an online course?
Find out if online courses are for you . . . TCC online classes are offered through the world wide web on a system called Blackboard. They are are academically equivalent
to face-to-face classes but have few or no face-to-face meetings.
Online classes offer many benefits to disciplined, motivated
students: flexible scheduling, active and interactive learning,
time for reflection, enhanced verbal and computer skills,
and participation in an online learning community.
Typically, students are expected to access their online class and student email daily or several times a week, to read and
write and participate in other class activities independently
and collaboratively, to meet class deadlines, and to devote
about 4 hours a week for each credit hour (12 hours for a
3-credit class). Some classes include face-to-face meetings
or other offline activities as described on individual class
Web pages.
TCC faculty use a variety of testing methods to assess student progress
and achievement. In some online courses, faculty may require proctored examinations which is an exam administered and supervised by a
person (the proctor) in a controlled environment such as a testing
center. TCC maintains a testing center
on each of its four campuses where an online student may be required to
go to complete specific exams or assignments. If you are unable to
visit one of TCC's testing centers
and your instructor requires proctored tests or assignments, contact
your instructor to discuss alternative proctoring arrangements. Any
costs associated with proctoring outside of TCC facilities are the
responsibility of the student.
To find out more about online class requirements, visit TCC's online learning website.
