Welcome to the May edition of The Pathfinder. In this month's letter you will find upcoming important dates for the summer semester, information on the summer schedule, and important information regarding tuition assistance.

Upcoming Events 
Summer 2010 Sessions
May 24 - August 3, 2010
Registration for the summer 2010 semester is well underway. View the online schedule to see what classes are still available. While most classes at the campuses are offered in a ten week session, many of the local bases are still offering eight week accelerated courses. Check out the area base schedules to see what's being offered.
Spring 2010 - Important Dates
May 3 - Last day of instruction for 16 week courses
May 7- Last day of instruction for 2nd 8 week courses
May 4-10- Exams
May 10- Spring semester ends
May 14 - Graduation 
Summer 2010 - Important Dates
May 13 - Tuition due
May 24 - Classes begin
May 31 - Memorial Day, college closed
June 3 - Last day to drop for tuition refund for a ten week course
July 2 - Last day to withdraw without academic penalty from a ten week course
July 5 - Independence Day Holiday, college closed
August 3 - Summer semester ends
Did you know . . . 
 
Individual Education Plans are now required in order to receive tuition assistance?
 
According to NAVADMIN 105/10*, "An individual education plan must be on file with the Navy College Office prior to enrolling in any college courses funded with TA or NCPACE."
To find out how to get an individual education plan on file, contact your Navy College Office counselor.
And as always, you can get your official TCC degree plan at any TCC counseling office at the campus or on base with your TCC military representative.No appointment is necessary.

 Using your GI Bill?
 
TCC offers veteran and active duty GI Bill counseling on all four of its campuses.

Whether it's Post 9-11 or Montgomery, the TCC Veterans Affairs counselors can help you get your GI Bill funding in place. The Veterans Affairs counselors at TCC specialize in helping active, retired and veteran service members get their federal funding and college classes in place.
TCC veterans affairs counselors are certified VA officials and can sign off on your VA paperwork.
Call ahead to make an appointment at any of the four campus locations.
