Weekdays 9am - 2pm.

Click here for this year's school supply list.

1st Day of School

The first day of school this year is Tuesday, September 4th (the day after Labor Day). We will begin the day (and the school year) in the church. We are asking that all students arrive to school by 8:20am on the first day and proceed to the front entrance to the church. The teachers will be there holding signs to make it easy to find them. Students will then line up with their teachers and walk into church together. All parents are invited to stay for our opening ceremony in the church which will begin at 8:30am and last until about 8:50am.

Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures

Please click on the above link to review the student drop-off and pick-up procedures. This will make the first week of the new school year a little less confusing and much safer.

Extended School Services (ESS)

ESS will take place on the first day of school in the morning at 7am and afternoon from 11:45-3pm.

Students will meet in the gym at 11:45 am. Please have your student bring a sack lunch.

Please contact Amy Davis at to reserve a spot for your student.

Absences

If your child will be missing a school day for any reason, please contact Kerry Wyman, at the front office. For Pre-K through 5th grades, please also cc your home room teacher.

Important Information before your child can start school.

Please read the attached information from the health room regarding both immunizations and student medication requirements that must be completed before the start of school. Then plan some time this summer to take care of updating your child's immunization records and/or receive any needed shots. Also provided are the requirements, deadlines and procedure to have student medications available at school.

- Mr. Burroughs

Class assignments (for K-5) and student schedules (for grades 6-8) will be sent home via e-mail on August 30th.

Fr. Steve's Installation

Let's gather together to give Fr. Steve an official welcome as our new pastor at his Installation Mass on September 8th at the 5:00 Mass. All students who attend the Installation Mass in their school uniform will receive a free dress pass. A reception will follow the Mass - with cupcakes for all children. No need to RSVP, but you may want to arrive early as I expect that there will be many in attendance.

Safe Environment Program

Everyone who volunteers with children at the school or parish is required to complete the Safe Environment/Called to Protect program. All school parents are encouraged to complete this program in if you are not currently volunteering with students in case you want to do so in the future. This three-hour training is designed to teach participants how to recognize the signs of abuse, how to respond to suspected abuse and how to keep our ministries, programs and schools safe. The Called to Protect for Ministers and Volunteers class will be offered here at Sacred Heart School in the Moore Theater on Monday, September 10th from 6-9 p.m. Please sign up for the class here.

Parents and staff who have completed the initial training class must participate in an annual online update. You can access your annual update by clicking here..

Cross Country

Click here to register now for the 2012 Cross-Country Season!

Thank you to all who have already signed up! Our motto for the 2012 Cross Country season is

"Strength in numbers! Moving forward, Building Community...One Step at a Time!"

We are currently in need of grade level parent volunteers. Please consider helping out with the very short Cross-Country season. Volunteers are needed to help check-in runners on race days and especially help organize the younger runners (approximately two hours total time commitment). Those who have done cross country before know that race day is crowded and busy. It can be overwhelming for new families so it would be wonderful to have some veterans on hand to guide the newcomers. If you are unable to volunteer, please help spread the word; somebody will hear the call! Also, still looking for more student volunteers looking to meet their community service hour requirements.
