Changes to the Summer Skills Program

In looking ahead to summer, we have made some changes to our Summer Skills Studies Programs. Please click on this link for details.

Math Skills books are for sale at school office, $17.

Staff Changes

I am happy to announce that Ms. Sally Wood, who worked here as an instructional aide in 1st grade last year and substituted in second grade for a few months while her mother was recuperating (as well as substitute teaching in a variety of other grades, too) will be joining us next year as our full-time art teacher for grades K-8. Sally holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts with a major in painting from the University of Washington and completed her Master's in Teaching from Heritage University this past Winter. Sally is also a graduate of Sacred Heart School.

Ms. Suzie Nelson, who has served the school faithfully for many years as an instructional aide and a member of the technology department (overseeing things like Edline, School Minder, and PowerSchool) will be transitioning into a new role next year. She will continue to work as an instructional aide and will take on the role of Assistant Director of the ESS Program . Suzie has many years of experience at Sacred Heart School, and she will be a great addition to the ESS team.

Last Day of School

I apologize for the time change on the last day of school. Traditionally, we have ended school on our last day at 10:30 a.m. The last few weeks the dismissal time has been mistakenly listed at 11:45, as that is our usual half-day dismissal time.

The last day of school will be filled with great events. All families are encouraged to attend. We will inaugurate our new student council, we will celebrate our final school Mass of the year, and Fr. Pat will lead us all in signing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" one last time.  We will also be inaugurating a new process of having our 7th Grade students symbolically "step up" to their new leadership role in the school. Finally, as a school, we will say our good-bye to our pastor, Fr. Pat. So, if you are available, it's a morning not to miss.  - Mr. Burroughs

Yearbooks

Yearbooks as scheduled to arrive the last week of school. We will notify everyone about the pick-up procedures as soon as they are on site.

Changes to the Scrip Program  -  Effective Tuesday, September 4th,  2012
