Uniform Reminders
The time has come when boots can be worn to school, as a reminder, boots may only be worn with pants. Please remember, that when once we return from mid-winter break, students will no longer be able to wear boots this year school.
I have also noticed a number of students wearing leggings under their jumpers/skirts. Per our uniform policy, students are to wear either solid white, navy, or green socks or tights.
For more detailed information on Sacred Heart School's uniform policy, please refer to our website.
Thank you - Ms. Gray
Pre-Kindergarten 2012-2013
We are now accepting applications for our Pre-K program. If you have a Pre-K child (turning 4 by August 31st, 2012) we would like to know if you are interested in applying for the coming school year. Our program will be the same as this year which is every day (Monday-Friday) from 8:30-11:30 with the option to stay until 12:00 noon for "lunch bunch." The current tuition rate is $375/month for 10 months (we do not anticipate a large rate increase for 2012-2013.) We would like to give our current school families the first opportunity to join our program. Our sibling application priority deadline is January 6, 2012. All families that have applied by that deadline will then receive a letter of intent which will need to be signed and sent back to our office by January 20th including 1st month's tuition and a few required documents in order to secure a position in 2012-2013 Pre-Kindergarten. Applications are available at the front office or on our website under the Admissions tab; the fee is $25. If you have a Pre-K aged child, but are not interested in our program, please confirm to me by email that you are not interested in applying for Pre-K as this will be extremely helpful in determining how many slots will be available for new families hoping to come into our SHS community. Call me or email me if you have any questions, Susana Knapp.
Kindergarten 2012-2013
We are also currently accepting applications for kindergarten. If you are interested in having your child in Kindergarten here at SHS next year, please send in your application and the $25 application fee. (Applications are available at the front desk or on our website.) We will then know for sure to include you in the next step of the process which will be our kindergarten testing/assessments taking place January 26, 27, and 28th. (Mark your calendars.) If you currently have a student here in Pre-K, you do not need to apply again, simply send me an email confirming whether or not you are interested in SHS for kindergarten. If yes, we will include your student in the January 26-28 assessments. Call me or email me if you have any questions, Susana Knapp.
Changes to School Milk Program
Beginning Monday December 5th, we will be both offering 1% white milk and non-fat chocolate milk as options during lunch. If you have not signed up for milk, but would like to for the remainder of the year, the cost is $16. If you are uncertain if you signed up for milk during the registration process please contact Kerry at the front office.Checks should be made payable to "Sacred Heart School" and please drop off at the front office. Please note, there is no additional charge for the chocolate milk choice for those that paid the $24 at the beginning of the year.
