From the Office

Please read a special welcome message from Connie Gray, Vice Principal and Head of Lower School.

*Correction* to Uniform Reminders/Updates sent out in Tuesday's Special Bulletin

We mistakenly list that cargo pants could be worn.  It should have said that cargo pants cannot be worn to school.  We apologize for the error.

Parent/Teacher/Student conference sign-ups will begin online next week. Look for instruction in next Thursday's From the Heart.

The Beginning of the Day

As in past years, before school ESS begins at 7:00am. each school day. Students may be dropped off at the school without going to ESS starting at 8:10am. The doors to the school open at 8:20am. At that time students can proceed to their classrooms. We encourage students to arrive at school by 8:20am so that they have plenty of time to get to class, settle in, and prepare for the day. The school day begins at 8:30am. Students arriving on campus at 8:30am or later are considered tardy.

This year, only the student entrance near the main office (upper parking lot) and the student entrance to the middle school hallway in the lower parking lot are open before school. The upper parking lot doors to the middle school will not be open this year in the interest of security.

From the Development Office

Fundraising and Giving Booklets went out to the youngest child in each family on the first day of school. The purpose of this guide is to provide a comprehensive explanation of all our giving programs and help families understand what is required for giving and fundraising at Sacred Heart School. The guide offers a calendar at the front to help you budget for the year. Please keep this booklet as a reference for your 2011-12 school year.  **Please note that there is one typo in the booklet. For the Jogathon, the Chairs are Kristin Bridges and Colleen O'Donnell, not Sharon Lailey.

The 2011-12 Annual Fund is now officially underway. 95% of our families have made a pledge! Thank you to those that have already sent your donation in! Letters confirming your pledge will be sent out in the next few weeks. The Annual Fund is a fully tax deductible donation and eligible for corporate matching. If you have not made your pledge yet and would like to do so, please contact Alison Scott in the Development Office.
