Summer Uniform Sale: Next Week!

Fund-a-Need Projects
This summer we are hard at work with refurbishing projects, funded in large part by the generous Fund-a-Need donations from this year's auction. Grades 1, 4, and 6 are having new flooring installed. (Their carpets were in the worst shape.). Grades K-2 will be receiving new furniture. Several classrooms and the hallways are being repainted. The Moore Theater is receiving new carpet and upholstery for the seating. Repairs will be underway soon for both big toys.

Summer Service
Twenty Sacred Heart School students and alumni assisted at the WIN Food Bank earlier this month by breaking down 50lb bags of rice into smaller bags for distribution to families in need. Working together they repackaged over 1,800 lbs of rice. We are currently planning other service opportunities for this summer (there is much rice left to "rebag"!). So watch the FTH for updates.
Scrip Sales Continue Over the Summer
Summer is a great time to get a jump on your fundraising for next year with scrip purchases. Scrip is sold after Masses on August 6th and 7th or by contacting Dee Huff.
Safeway Club Card eScrip Back-to-School Promotions
Please register your Safeway Club Card on eScrip so the school can automatically receive credit on your purchases.
Mark your calendars - between August 10 and September 13, purchase any of the select thousands of items marked with the "school bus" tags and the school will earn 10% of the purchase price.
Look for a message that prints on your receipt between September 19 and October 9. If the receipt has a redemption code - turn it into the school office.
Important School Supply Information for the 2011-12 School Year
As you are preparing for next year, please remember to purchase a binder for your child if they are entering grades 3rd - 8th.
During the summer, you can find binders at places like Office Depot and Costco that are great for students and provide important organization tools. Some important features to look for when purchasing a binder are that it should have a 6 Pocket Filing System, 3 large capacity 2" binders and a zipper close; two specific brands we are aware of that offer these kinds of binders are Tech Gear and Five Star First Gear. *All other basic school supplies will be provided*
