Did You Know...

...The reason for the increased volume in the number of individuals visiting the food pantry is because they do not qualify for government assistance like food stamps.

...In order to get a bag of food for three days, most food pantries that are affiliated with a food bank require that you have depleted your savings and your 401K.

Dear Friends,

October 1st marks the beginning of our Fourth year as a 501©3 charity.  In honor of this milestone we would like to begin the year with a theme around the power of 4.  As we move 4 ward we ask you all to use your voices to find the courage to ask 4 friends to begin to collect their spare change...and then encourage them to ask 4 friends...and then you will begin to see just how powerful 4 can be!

Thank you,

Dorothy Goodwin

President

About Gathering Change, Inc.

Gathering Change, Inc., is a grassroots charitable organization that collects spare change from our homes, schools, faith communities and businesses. Our mission is to meet the immediate basic needs of citizens within our cities and towns who cannot achieve this goal alone. The funds are distributed back into our local food pantries and social programs. Gathering Change, Inc., gives everyone the opportunity to participate by sharing their abundance, thereby fostering a sense of interconnection, care and well-being throughout our neighborhoods.
