Friends Gather in Westborough for Gathering Change

Karen Ross, of Westborough, hosted a luncheon at her home on November 18th. About 40 people attended this event and raised over $1,900. A check is being delivered to the Westborough Food Pantry where the need is up 40% from last year.
In addition to thanking Karen for opening up her home, a special thank you goes out to Judy DiOrio for introducing us and helping to count the change, to Panera Bread for donating some of the food, and to all the guests. Special thanks to Kate Lacount for taking the initiative to ask local businesses to collect spare change for the two weeks prior to this event.

Dear Friends,
This is the season, no matter what our traditions or beliefs, we will all end up at a table to share a meal with those we love. On that table represents everyone's favorite dish, for some of us they go back many generations. The table is also a symbol of love, laughter, tears, loss and joy. So during your holiday's I raise a toast to each of you for giving so generously to Gathering Change, Inc. so that our friends and neighbors will be able to come together at their tables and share a meal donated by you.
May our spare change continue to bring peace, hope and joy to everyone in need this holiday season!
Peace,
Dorothy Goodwin, President |
