BYDS now provides its 4^th and 5^th Grade students with the First in Math on-line program to build essential math skills through an exciting game-based approach that is loads of fun, while it challenges students to whatever extent they desire. 

The typical structure of the game is to present each student with a pre-test assessment to test proficiency. There are modules that provide a unique way for students to experience the type of problems found in standardized tests. Students solve problems from nine categories that tie to national standards. "Workout Gyms" build automaticity with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts, and progress to include fractions, decimals and integers. After completing certain Skill Set requirements, students can play "Bonus Games," serving as incentives that encourage students to continue to achieve.

Already in just two days, BYDS students have solved over 7,000 problems at school and at home with First in Math!
