Do you offer Discounts?
We mentioned in our last newsletter that we are gathering Chamber Member discount offerings and we hope to assemble a pamphlet that we can hand out to our visitors and community members. This is no cost to you. You simply inform us of the discount you offer and we will add you to the list. This goes beyond the Member to Member discount we already have going. This will be a Member to Community discount offering. If you have an ongoing special that you offer and would like to get the word out to our community and visitors, please email the information to kathy@buellton.org. For example: Maybe you offer 10% off on Monday or Two for one on Tuesday, etc. We invite you to take advantage of this great opportunity and encourage people to shop local and do business with you. |

Featured Person

I have lived in the Santa Ynez Valley with my family since 1983. I grew up in Santa Barbara and graduated from San Marcos High School in 1966. Following flights over Vietnam and 4 years in the Air Force I finally landed in San Luis Obispo. Graduated from Cal Poly in 1974 and got married in 1975. My wife, Chris, and I have two sons and two grandchildren after 37 years of marriage. I started my professional appraisal career working for San Luis Obispo County. Subsequently worked for both Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties before starting my own business in 1986. . Over the years I have earned the MAI and SRA professional designations from the Appraisal Institute. Holding these designations has allowed me to appraise all types of properties and to testify in court including Federal Courts in both Los Angeles and San Francisco. There are 110+- appraisers in Santa Barbara County and only 2 that hold both the MAI and SRA designations. There are 9 others that have either the MAI or SRA designations. I only complete appraisals and consulting in the north county but on all real estate types and interests. I enjoy my work and I enjoy the community. I have served on many boards over the years including Santa Ynez High School, Lutheran Home, Solvang Chamber of Commerce, Santa Ynez Valley UCSB Economic Forecast and the Vikings. |
