Greetings!
Take a look around and you will see the new life popping up everywhere. The flowers, trees, plants, are screaming, "It's Spring!" This is also a great time to look at your first quarter and see how you are doing. Are you or your business where it needs to be as you enter into the second quarter? What can you do to breathe new life into your business or yourself? Set realistic goals that will keep you on track and moving forward. What better way to celebrate the close of Tax season than to "Wine Down" at Avant Tapas & Wine. The April Mixer will be hosted by Joe Padilla at Avant Tapas & Wine. Our Mixers offer a great opportunity for networking and meeting fellow Chamber members and friends. If you would like to promote your business a bit further with a donation of a raffle prize, please contact the Chamber. We appreciate your kind contributions and look forward to seeing you on April 18th! We have added a couple of new drawings to our Mixers.
For $1.00 you may enter your business card into a drawing. Following the Raffle prize give away, we will draw a business card out of the bowl. The first card drawn will win the money that was collected for the drawing. The next card pulled will be our Featured Business in the next Chamber Newsletter. City Wide Garage Sale
May 5, 2012
Time to clean out those closets, drawers, spare rooms, garages, wherever you store your stuff and get ready for our City Wide Garage Sale. This will be our 5th annual sale and you're encouraged to take part. If you would like to be included on our map and website, please fill out the attached form and send $5.00 to the Buellton Chamber of Commerce. We will advertise the sales in the local and Central Coast Newspapers, community calendars, as well as other garage sale sites. Please contact the Chamber with any questions or to sign up and hold a sale. Businesses are invited to participate as well. Offer a discount, hold a sidewalk sale, buy one get one...you decide.

Buellton Brew Fest! May 12th
Noon-4pm at River View Park
The Chamber's Inaugural Brew Fest is shaping up. We will have craft beer from around the valley, as well, as around the world participating. Sponsorships are available if you are interested. Please click here for a sponsorship application. Tickets are also on sale now at www.buelltonbrewfest.com. Ticket prices are $25.00 in advance or $35.00 at the door, so be sure to get yours early. A ticket includes unlimited beer tasting, a meal, and a souvenir tasting glass. As with any event, we will need volunteers. If you or your employees would like to be a part of this inaugural event and assist us the day of the event, please contact the Chamber at 688-7829. Open House for Wedding & Event Planners at Apple Creek Ranch on April 12th.
The Apple Creek Ranch will be hosting an open house for event & wedding planners and their clients as well as vendors in the wedding industry, from 3-7pm on Thursday, April 12th. Apple Creek Ranch is located at 7250 Domingos Road off Highway 246 in the Santa Rita Hills just west of Buellton. - Congratulations to Jim Vreeland Ford for receiving the President's Award 2 years in a row. This award is given to the top 10% of Ford Dealers in the Country for customer service and sales satisfaction. Way to go! Or should we say..Astronomical!!
- The Starting Gate Restaurant, located in the Marriott, is offering dinner specials at a low rate of $20.12. Stop by and see what's cooking. Also, they've just added some beautiful patio furniture around their fire pit, located outside of the Starting Gate...check it out!
- Congratulations to Nojoqui Falls ATV Tours, LLC for their recent visit from Fishers ATV World. You may watch the episode, which aired on the Outdoor Channel here.
- The Buellton Rotary along with the SB Sheriff's Department are hosting a Bike Rodeo on April 21st, from 9am-Noon at Oak Valley School. Children will be taken through real life situations on their bikes and learn basic bicycle safety. Included in the day's events will be: Raffle prizes, snacks, and bike inspections.
- Casa Cassara Wine Tasting room will be moving over to Solvang in the near future. We wish them all the best in their new location and are sad to see them go.
- Return to Freedom Wild Horse Sanctuary is holding a wine and music festival, "Hoof~Beats" to raise funds for their program. Sponsorships and silent auctions items are needed. If you would like to contribute, please contact Tess Davis at (805)737-9246 or events@returntofreedom.org.
