Greetings!

It's hard to believe that December is upon us. This has been a great year for our Chamber as we welcomed in new members, continued to develop our new website, began a TV Commercial campaign, had a fabulous mixer season, and continued to raise awareness in the community of our Chamber benefits. I look forward to continuing our service to our community and business members and the ongoing promotion of our City. I wish all of you a safe and happy holiday and a prosperous New Year.

Holiday Installation Luncheon

December 8th at Noon

Don't forget to make your reservation for our Holiday Installation Luncheon. Tickets are $30.00 and lunch will be served in the Jockey Club at the Marriott. Join us as we bid farewell to our outgoing Board members and welcome in the new. A special presentation of the Vincent B. Evans award will also take place, honoring an individual for their outstanding service to Buellton.

The Buellton Chamber of Commerce is hosting a NO Cost informational seminar along with a Free Continental Breakfast. This seminar is being presented by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and will inform you about what the SBDC can do for your business to help it grow and prosper into the future. CERT Training Course

Coming up in January the Santa Ynez Valley Prepared will be offering a 25-hour emergency response and preparedness course approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Learn first aid, medical triage, search and rescue, basic fire fighting, disaster preparedness, CERT team organization, disaster psychology in emergency situations. Cost is only $25.00. Canstruction Build is Back! February 8, 2012

Canstruction is a charity committed to ending hunger one can at a time. The Santa Barbara County Design/ Build Competition will put a visual spotlight on hunger while showcasing Santa Barbara County design community's best and brightest. Thank You Classic Party Rentals

Our sincere gratitude goes out to Richard Good and his entire staff at Classic Party Rentals for hosting an over the top Mixer in November. They certainly know how to throw a party. As we packed their warehouse, guests were treated to sliders and fries served by New West Catering along with local wines from Sanford Winery. The picnic theme was a big hit, especially those new outdoor heaters. A must for your next outdoor event. As always, our many thanks go out to those businesses who so graciously donate items for our raffle.

You may have heard about a new networking group called Contacts N Coffee. This group meets every Monday morning from 8am-9:30am at Avant Tapas & Wine in Buellton. I am happy to share with you that this dynamic group is focused, fun, informative, and allows you to be heard and share what you do in your business. Raffle Tickets for a FREE trip are being sold for $10.00 each.

Only 350 Tickets will be sold so be sure to get in on this exciting raffle. Tickets are available at the following locations: Buellton Parks & Rec. Center, Buellton Chamber of Commerce, City of Buellton, and Rabobank-Buellton. Winner will be announced in February.

I would like to thank those who helped us prepare and serve a wonderful meal to our Seniors on November 29th. Ben Courtney & family, Tish Beltranena, Dan Baumann, Jody Knoell, Toni Butner, Amy Pearce, and Sheila Glaser. We had a great time in the kitchen and the Seniors gobbled up the delicious Chili and Cornbread. Thank you again!
