ARMY'S ARMY HAPPENINGS
“Spirit Day” With Chick-fil-A
On October 21, the Army's Army partnered with Chick-fil-A on a “Spirit Day” fundraiser. A portion of the day's sales went to the Army's Army. All money raised will go directly towards funding the Army's Army's mission of supporting the military and their families, as well as veterans and their families. We would like to thank all of our partners and members who came out to to show their support.
If you missed this one, don't worry: We will be holding another Spirit Day fundraiser on Wednesday, November 16 at the Chick-fil-A located at 4611 Ramsey Street! Please stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Make sure to tell the cashier you're there for Spirit Day before placing your order, or the Army's Army won't receive a portion of the proceeds.
Please print out copies of the event flyer to share with your friends and family!
Heroes Crusade: An Athlete's Campaign
We are only one week away from the first ever Heroes Crusade sporting tournament, and it's taking place right here in Fayetteville/Cumberland County.
Heroes Crusade is a three-day event to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, Green Beret Foundation, RDU AMBUCS and Ride 2 Recovery. The tournament consists of three events: Heroes Crusade Golf Tournament, Fallen Warrior Rugby Tournament, and 5k Run/Walk/Bike.
Heroes Crusade is being held in conjunction with Heroes Homecoming, a 10-day "welcome home" celebration for Vietnam veterans from across the country. More than 60 events will take place from November 4-13, all of which recognize the service and sacrifice of veterans. Together, these two events truly showcase our community's military support.
We need lots of help from volunteers to make sure all of these events go off without a hitch. Many of you have already signed up, but we still need more help. If you would like to get involved by volunteering, please contact me directly at jlwest@armysarmy.com or (910) 709-9671.
