Move that bus!!
Those are the words residents of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, NC heard earlier this summer as Extreme Makeover: Home Edition revealed a brand new home for Navy vet Barbara Marshall and her family. Now, the rest of the country will finally get to see why Fayetteville is a model military community: Extreme has selected the Fayetteville episode to kick off its ninth season with a two-hour season premiere on Sunday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m., ET on ABC.
Fayetteville, otherwise known as America's First Military Sanctuary, is committed to showing its support for the military and their families. Fayetteville is home to the Army's Army - the world's only non-profit volunteer organization of citizens and businesses who have pledged their support to those in the military. The Army's Army and the USO of NC were the only two military support organizations selected to take a leading role in the Extreme build. Fayetteville was recently named as an All-American City for the third time and was selected as the location for the North Carolina Veterans Park, a $15 million, seven-acre park.
Make sure to tune in to the Extreme season premiere for a sneak peak into just what makes Fayetteville/Cumberland County such a special place.
