ARMY'S ARMY HAPPENINGS
Helping a Military Family in Need
This past month the Army’s Army rallied together to help a military family in great need. The Lathrop family is struggling financially and living day-to-day caring for their six children, four of whom have serious medical conditions. Thanks to our members and partners we were able to supply the Lathrop family with clothing, toys, books, household needs, and gift cards.
They still need your help. If you’d like to help, please contact me.
Community Information Fair at Fort Bragg
The Army’s Army attended the Fort Bragg Community Information Fair on September 28th. The purpose of the fair was to educate our community on the many benefits that different organizations have to offer. The event was very successful and provided soldiers and their families with a wealth of information about the community. The Army’s Army was there to create awareness about what we do and to recruit new members. We would like to welcome our 63 new members!

Orientation Weekend - Another Success! |

The Army’s Army and FACVB hosted our second Orientation Weekend for DOD civilian/active duty military families during the weekend of September 24-26, 2010.
Orientation Weekend was a huge success. The families that came were able to experience Fayetteville/Cumberland County at its finest. Our visitors were amazed by the love and hospitality they received.
Here are some of our rave reviews:

“Thanks so much for your hospitality and support this weekend. My wife and I really enjoyed our time in your town.”
“I just wanted to thank you for the successful Orientation Weekend. Thanks again for what you are doing.”
“I wanted to thank the Army’s Army again for your support for the transition we are about to experience. I especially thought having the Partners present was a very good benefit.”
