ORIENTATION WEEKEND 2010

The Army's Army and FACVB will be hosting our second Orientation Weekend for DOD civilian/active duty military families during the weekend of September 24-26, 2010. These families are considering relocating to the area and will be here to learn about Fayetteville/Cumberland County to ultimately decide if we are the right fit and community they'd like to call home.

Relocation activities, along with helpful information sessions provided during Orientation Weekend, will allow them to make an informed decision about potentially relocating here.

Orientation Weekend will also coincide with the area's annual International Folk Festival, which is an event that celebrates the community's diversity providing entertainment, crafts and food from around the world. We are looking forward to having these families as our guests for the weekend.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO BE MORE INVOLVED

1. Join an Army's Army committee. Log in to your account here to join the effort to help military families relocating to the community.
2. Attend an Army's Army volunteer effort. All opportunities are sent to your inbox via Army's Army e-blasts. So, look for events and special efforts going on where you can lend your time.
3. Recruit your friends. Do your friends know about the Army's Army? If they are interested in supporting military families, we could use their help. Ask them to go to www.armysarmy.com to join the cause.
