ARMY'S ARMY HAPPENINGS

On July 4, the Army's Army attended Operation Celebrate Freedom, which was hosted by MWR. The annual July 4th celebration was held at the Main Post Parade Field at Fort Bragg. Activities included two of today's hottest musical acts, Colt Ford and Chevelle; the Golden Knights Parachute Team; a flag ceremony; fireworks; and food and beverages. The July 4th celebration was voted one of the top 20 events in the southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society! The event was especially exciting for the Army's Army - we were one of the recipients of an Iron Mike Award for our support of soldiers and their families.

This past month, the Army's Army provided assistance to the USO and Family Readiness Group for the 1st Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery (1-7 ADA), of the 108th ADA Brigade at Fort Bragg, helping to collect personal items for more than 2,250 care packages that will be distributed to soldiers as they return from deployment. The Army's Army would like to thank all of our members who helped with both of these efforts. We would also like to thank all our partners who were able to supply the USO and the Family Readiness Group. We would like to especially acknowledge our partner, Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union, who provided the USO with supplies for all 2,000 Rack Packs.
