Operation Celebrate Freedom

On July 4, 2009, Army's Army volunteers showed their dedication and support at Fort Bragg's Operation Celebrate Freedom. Volunteers handed out free food and G.I. Joe toys to children of deployed and fallen soldiers. A special thanks to our volunteers who made the event such a success. To view pictures from the event, click here.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO BE MORE INVOLVED

  1. Join an Army's Army committee. Log into your account here to join the effort to help military families relocating to the community.
  2. Attend an Army's Army volunteer effort. All opportunities are sent to your inbox, so look for events and special efforts going on where you can lend your time.
  3. Recruit your friends. Do your friends know about the Army's Army? If they're interested in supporting military families, we could use their help. Tell them to go to armysarmy.com to join the cause.

Stacy Strauss joined the Army's Army in February 2009, and is a huge resource to the organization and overall community. She currently serves on the FayettevilleWantsYou.com blog committee, where she keeps future residents up-to-date with relevant and exciting activities in Fayetteville. She has also lent her time at community events, including handing out G.I. Joe toys to children at Fort Bragg.

In addition to volunteering with the Army's Army, Stacy is involved in several other community efforts. She is a New Ambassador for the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Military Affairs Council, a Certified Tourism Ambassador for Fayetteville and a USO Volunteer. Stacy is also currently the Sales and Catering Manager at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux, where she is responsible for the military/government markets and plans meetings, conferences and military socials.
