What is the Future Story of Mt. Hermon? Finding Our Verb
Congregation members and friends are invited to join a Home Group during the month of October. First, we will write (or be able to share verbally) a future story that puts Mt Hermon 10 years into the future, celebrating an event that you foresee. As we come together we will share our stories at home gatherings, finding our verbs that best fit and describe the animating presence of the Spirit at Mt Hermon. BLESSING OF THE PETS
Sunday, Oct 2 at 5:00 p.m.
At Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church
Bring your pets (dog, cat, fish, hamster, bird) for a special blessing on Sunday, October 2 at 5 p.m. It is traditional around the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, to bless and give thanks for our pets. They are a blessing to us all year round. Everyone is invited to attend. Please bring animals on a leash or appropriate container (or bring their picture if they cannot visit in person). October 9th! One Service  Celebrating Music & Story
Join all three services at One Service on October 9th at 9:45 a.m. - We will begin with a Prelude, then, enter into Worship praising God through a variety of music (chosen by the congregation over the past month) and people sharing their sacred stories. All three music groups will combine to make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Monday night service, for those not able to attend on Sundays, will meet this week. |

Young Adults The Young Adults of Mt Hermon (and friends) are invited to gather at the Afton Tavern on Friday November 18th at 6:30 p.m. They will meet every 3rd Friday of the month at various places for fun, fellowship and connection. Rally Sunday Honors Children and Teachers Who Attend Faith Learning Classes
Barbara Linker, and team (Ruth Barringer, Shelley Cooke, Nancy Jones, Susan Faggart) presented awards for Faith Learning Hour attendance for 2010-2011 on Sunday, September 11th. Ruth Barringer was awarded a pin for over 50+ weeks, awards for the highest attendance in each grade included Emma Gosse, Michael Gosse, Justine Keever, Seth McKinnon, Olivia Jones, Cadence Olszewski, Cyrus Sousley, Gideon Sousley, and Sean Walsh. Faith Learning teachers were also recognized for their contributions throughout the year. Thank you to all who teach and participate in faith learning each week. |

For Mt Hermon Bikers: Paul Hurley will be leading a ride from Mt. Hermon at 9:30 am (after the 8:30 am service) if anyone wants to ride as a group.

Van Drivers Needed "My Father's House", A Ministry Partnership of Cooperative Christian Ministry, is in need of Van Drivers who can drive a 15 passenger van. We currently are in need of van drivers to transport our guest families between the Day Center and Host Churches on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
