| Nominees Dinner with Council |
On Thursday, May 12, the Nomination Team hosted a dinner for the new Council Nominees and present Council for a social and an exchange of information, as well as a question-and-answer time. The meal was delicious, the conversation and the questions were very informative. Thank you to Kitty Smith, Darlene Gayan, Bill Coleman, Ross Gosse and Bill Vincent for hosting this event. |
| Basketball Game goes to the Council - Way to go team! | The big Basketball Game took place on Sunday, May 22nd at 4 pm with an enthusiastic crowd watching and cheering them on. The Youth (flamingoes) and the Council gathered their teams and spent a gruelling 30 minutes at play with a 10 minute half-time. Although the youth led in the first half, the Council came back with a big win in the second half. Thank you to all who played and had a wonderful time! Thank you to the children cheerleaders, led by Barbara Linker, who cheered the teams on to victory! A delicious meal was shared by all after the game. The youth really did win in the end, as they raised $369 for the Lutheran Youth Conference 2012. Watch on facebook to see more photos of the game. A dinner for council will be held in the near future as the youth serve Council at a sit-down-dinner for the winning team.
