Calling All Team/Group Leaders
Change of Date for Meeting
First, we apologize for having to move the date of this meeting again, but it is necessary. We will be setting the date this weekend and sending a letter in the mail on Monday. Please bear with us as we begin a new and important road to better communication at Mt. Hermon. Our hope is to invite team and group leaders to come together to share new avenues of communication between council, staff and team leaders; recent communication tools now available on campus; church policies and procedures; talk about how the church council and staff can help you as a team leader; and listen to your opinions about what your teams may need in the future in the way of planning and communication. Look for your letter to arrive mid-week. If you do not receive it and you are a group leader, please call Linda at 704-782-2326 xt 102 or Rick Grochoske at 704-995-0059.

Good News From The Finance Team!
A few months ago, we let you know we had an amount-to-be-prayed-over that was around $20,000. We are happy to report that our amount-to-be-prayed-over in the general fund has been reduced to around $11,640, and the mortgage fund $1,307 for a total of $12,947 because of your response. Thank you for making second mile offerings, for catching up on your weekly offerings (tithes), and for being good stewards of God's gifts. We ask you to continue in your generosity so we can continue to work on our deficit. "With man this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible" (Matt 19:26).

Mt. Hermon's 9:55 Alive Service
is 5 Years Old
Happy Birthday 9:55!
The 9:55 alive service opened it's doors five years ago, adopted and supported by the ministry of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church. We have met for 5 years and continue to Praise God through Worship, Music, Word, and Communion. The 9:55 alive service invites everyone to celebrate, since this is a churchwide celebration, after service with a birthday cake and coffee this Sunday, October 24th. The 9:55 alive service will be making a gift to Mt. Hermon's Mortgage Fund as their 5th Birthday Gift. We give back what God has first given us. Come celebrate what God is doing in our midst!

Mt. Hermon Is In Need of Updated Computers
It has been a number of years since we put together the Computer Room for our Children's Program. The children enjoy the games and programs that are biblically based and teach children in a way that they are eager to learn. There are many games and websites available today that have very good teaching content, but with computers that are not technically up-to-date and do not have WiFi capability we are not able to update our materials or access the online programs. If you have a computer (laptop or PC desktop) that you can donate to Mt. Hermon that is 3 years old or newer, please consider a donation to Mt. Hermon's Children's Program or the Teen Program. Contact Linda at 704-782-2326 xt 102 or Nancy Jones at 704-784-4987.

| Thank You:
To: Mt. Hermon for the Funeral for Marie Hartsell - We wish to thank the people of Mt. Hermon for all the kind and loving acts they performed in planning the funeral itself, and preparation of the meal. We didn't get a chance to thank each of you personally but your service for Christ did not go unnoticed. In many ways it was a homecoming, not only for Mother, but for her three children who grew up at Mt. Hermon. Grace and Peace,
The Hartsell Family.
