Pastor Mark Ericson, our Synod Dean and Ambassador from the NC Synod, will be coming to speak with Mt. Hermon to hear how God is changing our lives, and using us to change the lives of others.   He also wants to talk about the great things we do together with the money Mt. Hermon sends the Synod in Mission Support (ie. Lutheran Services for the aged, Lenoir Rhyne University, Mission Congrega-tions in the NC Synod and more), and about the great things we can do together in the future.  We will begin our session with a covered dish dinner so plan to bring your favorite dish (meat, vegetable, desserts, breads).  Look for further information in next week's newsletter and  bulletin.

From the Property Team

Pardon Our Dust - Lights and Teen Room
Pardon our dust as the Property Team has the lights repaired in Fellowship Hall, the Narthex, Coffee House and the Office.  You may see things a little more clearly in the days ahead.  We are also addressing moisture in the Teen Room.  We'll be cleaning, and sealing the walls with a special paint, as well as addressing the source of the moisture.  A member has volunteered to help the youth re-decorate the large wall in the teen room with a mural after the initial work is completed.

Giving At Mt Hermon - Thank You

Thank you so much for responding to the needs at Mt. Hermon.  The good news is that several families made a one-time gift to the mortgage fund which helps so much in our overall goal of paying the deficit down and supporting our early payoff.   Thank you for going the extra mile.  For the second month in a row the mortgage was paid without putting a drain on the regular giving.

We can continue to help with the amount-to-be-prayed-over by doing the following:

1.  Catch up on your Sunday offerings.

2.  Make a second mile gift along with your regular Sunday offering.

3.  Make a commitment to add $1, $5, $10, $20 to your weekly giving.

4.  Pray for hearts that grow closer to God and grow in giving back to
     Him ever more generously.

5.  Give of your time volunteering.

Thank you for supporting God's work in the world through the ministries and mission of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church! God is doing great things through our many works.
Sunday Faith Learning Classes:
The Road to New Relationship with God, Yourself & Others

faith learning classFaith Learning Classes are not only a place to learn more about God, Scripture, our faith story, and how to live out our faith today, it is also a place to build relationships with other Christians who believe as we believe.  It is a place to support others and be supported in our faith-walk.  We can learn from one another how to pray together, how to laugh, how to speak about God in a safe, comfortable environment, how to connect God's life with our everyday life, and how to face difficulties with the support of a faith-filled community.  Come learn with us!
