He Is Risen!  He Is Risen Indeed!

Celebrating The Easter Season 2010

Don't Miss "The BIG Reveal"--This Sunday, April 18!

NCD BarrelThis coming Sunday, Mt. Hermon will learn the results from our church health check-up that was done last winter. We will discover which of the eight church health factors is our maximum health factor and which one is our minimum health factor. (The eight church health factors are: Empowering Leadership; Gift-based Ministry; Passionate Spirituality; Effective Structures; Inspiring Worship Services; Holistic Small Groups; Need-oriented Evangelism; Loving Relationships). We will also discover our average health score on a scale from 1-100.

The next step for our congregation is to explore together why our minimum factor is the minimum factor and what can be done to improve our congregation's health in that area. To that end, everyone is invited to participate in a 90 minute focus group. Eight such groups will be offered in the next two weeks. Please sign up! Sign-up forms will be provided this coming Sunday. Here are the times and dates for the focus groups:

Sat., April 24 @ 10:00 AM
Sun., April 25@ 11:15 AM
Sun., April 25@  2:00 PM
Mon., April 26@ 7:30 PM
Thur., April 29@ 7:00 PM
Sat., May 2 @ 9:45 AM
Sun., May 2 @ 2:00 PM

You may also contact the chair of Mt. Hermon's NCD Church Health Team, Rick Grochoske, at rgrochoske@ci.charlotte.nc.us to sign up.

Has Your Meeting Time Changed?  Team Meeting Minutes Needed!
calendar iconIf your team meeting changes times or dates, as many do, please contact the office and let us know to change your date or time on the calendar to make sure you are assigned a room to meet in.  Mt. Hermon is growing and there are times when we have more meetings than rooms.  A courtesy call to the office will help us make sure everyone has a space ready for their important meeting. Also, the Council is asking that a copy of your meeting minutes be provided for the council each month. You may send your minutes to the office each month (either in hard copy or by email) so the office staff may have them ready for the council meeting, or you may send them directly to Rick Erwin, Council President, if you prefer at rickerwin@earthlink.net. Thank you for your consideration.
