"The Unveiling of Our Minimum Factor "

 April 18/19

Our Natural Church Development (NCD) team is making good progress on reviewing the survey taken by 30 of our members last fall.  We continue to meet bi-weekly.  As you may recall NCD has identified 8 quality characteristics that affects a church's health and membership growth.  We are  at a very exciting time in this overall NCD process in which we need our congregation's input.   On April 18th and 19th, at our 4 worship services, we will be informing the congregation of the following:

  *     Summarizing the overall survey results
  *      Identifying Mt Hermon's minimum factor
  *      Having folks sign up for one of the 8 Focus Groups
in late April and early May

Place April 18th or 19th on your calendar as it will be an exciting time. We believe our members will find it very interesting knowing our church's strengths and weakness.  The NCD team hopes to see all our members at the unveiling of our minimum factor.  See you on the 18th/19th!!

Thank You From Pastor Hahn & Lyn

To everyone who helped to make the wedding shower last Sunday such a special experience.

Upcoming Commmunity  Events
Keane Matthews, 9:55 alive,  will sing with the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte in  Beethoven's "Ode To Joy," Thursday, April 22, Friday,  April 23, and Saturday, April 24, 2010.

The Symphony pulls out all the stops to honor Christof Perick in his final concert as Music Director. A celebration of joy, peace, and brotherhood, Beethoven's magnificent Ninth Symphony is the very work with which Maestro Perick began his tenure more than nine years ago, conducting a moving performance of the masterpiece just ten days after the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

AT Allen School Reunion will be held on April 24 from 11 am - 3:00 pm.  If you attended school at AT Allen, you are invited to send or bring to the school any memorabilia (pictures, yearbooks, etc.) you may have to share.  They will scan what you have and return the originals.  Also needed are volunteers to work a craft booth on that day 11 am - 3 pm or in 2 hour shifts (11-1 and 1-3).  Contact Lisa McKinnon if you can help 704-787-0880.
For Your Prayer This Week
For your prayer this week, try keeping a gratefulness journal.  Name 3 things that you are grateful for each day.  Rule 1:  You cannot repeat a blessing, but find new blessings each day.  Let us know how many blessings have come your way.  Join us on Facebook - Mt Hermon Lutheran Church; 9:55 alive; Alive and Well Band.

Please keep the NCD Team and our Church in your prayers as we learn about our minimum factor.

Please keep Pastor Hahn and Lyn Choate,  Brenda Fink & Randy McCarn, and Derek Taylor & Carrie Hinson in your prayers as they prepare for their upcoming marriages in May.
