Dear SEPTA Members and Friends,

We kicked off the school year at the SEPTA Welcome Back Breakfast last Friday and it was wonderful to see so many parents and staff there!  We are off to a great start.  At the breakfast we announced our programs and shared our goals for the year and learned much about areas the District is focusing on too.

We look forward to seeing you at Back to School Nights and our upcoming events.  If you haven't yet joined Septa for this year, PLEASE do so now.Pay Now

Parent Member Training

Have you ever thought about being a Parent Member on a Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) or a Committee on Special Education (CSE)?  Any parent of a student who is classified to receive special education is eligible for a one-day training to prepare to be a member of a CSE and/or CPSEs in our schools.  This training is an incredible learning experience as Parent Members, working together with the district staff and families, learn the CSE process from the "inside out".  The training curriculum was revamped in 2010 and provides a wealth of information to both new and veteran Parent Members.  It will be offered on Monday, September 24 in Valhalla from 9:30-2pm.  Register at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/parentmemberfall2012 or email hvsepc@wihd.org for more information.

SEPTA's liasion to parent members is Sandi Rosenbaum - feel free to contact her to learn more.
