The Town of Ajax officially opened the doors of its new Operations Centre on December 6. The state-of-the-art, 55,000 square foot building is home to the Town's Operations and Environmental Services staff. It is the first municipal Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) designed Operations Centre in Durham Region. Video footage of the official opening is available at 
Give the gift of culture this year. The "Best Seat in the House" drive, gives people the opportunity to name a seat in the Main Hall of the St. Francis Centre. Looking for a great summer job? The Town is hosting 
The Town of Ajax Fitness and Health Centres are giving residents a chance to be the "Biggest Winner". The annual fitness challenge puts participants through a 12-week training program to improve weight management and lead a healthier lifestyle. Registration begins December 12 and can be completed at the Ajax or McLean community centres. Ring in the New Year at the Town's annual New Year's Eve Family Party on December 31. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. at the Ajax Community Centre. The evening includes entertainment, ice skating, face painting, arts and crafts, and more. Noise makers and party favours will be handed out prior to the 9 p.m. countdown that wraps up the event.
