| Revitalizing downtown Ajax |

Ajax Town Council identified the redevelopment of the downtown core as one of their top priorities in the 2007-2010 Corporate Strategic Plan.
In late Aug. 2009, the Town made an application to expropriate the land at the southwest corner of Bayly Street and Harwood Avenue. On Jan. 18, Ajax Council approved an agreement to officially acquire the site. |

| The Town will host an open house on Feb. 4 to update residents on the status of the 2007 - 2010 Corporate Strategic Plan. The plan consists of 103 projects of which 86% are complete or nearing completion. |

 Nominations for the registration of candidates are now being accepted. Individuals may file for candidacy up until 2 p.m. on Friday, September 10. |
