2010 Municipal Election: October 25
 
Vote ButtonNominations for the registration of candidates are now being accepted. Individuals may file for candidacy up until 2 p.m. on Friday, September 10. Visit the Town's Web site for more information.
 
Economic Development and Tourism Strategy 
 
The Town is developing a new Economic Development and Tourism Strategy for the community. The strategy, when completed, will identify priorities and strategic directions for the Town over the coming years. As part of this effort, we would like to hear from you. Please take the time to complete the online surveys on the Town's Web site.
 
PAAB purchases land from Town to open headquarters
 
Pickering Village SignThe Town has accepted a conditional offer from the Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board (PAAB) to purchase a key parcel of Town owned land in Pickering Village. The property, located at Kingston Road and Elizabeth Street, will be used by PAAB to build a new Canadian headquarters.
 
Community Centre & Park update
 
Sportsplex revisedPreliminary site plans and concept designs for the new Community Centre & Park in Ajax are available for review. The facility will be built at the current Sportsplex site, located on the southeast corner of Taunton Road and Audley Road.
 
Winter control information and reminders
 
Snow PlowInformation is available on the Town's Winter Maintenance Program, including reminders, by-laws and snow removal for older adults.
 
Art Exhibitions: January 4 to February 8
 
Phil Hulag ArtworkLocal artists Allan O'Marra, Robert Fisher and Phil Hulaj have been selected to present their artwork at the Ajax Town Hall and McLean Community Centre from January 4 to February 8, 2010.
