Veterans to be honoured with musical tribute
The Town of Ajax will conclude 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the River Plate celebrations with a musical tribute to all veterans on Sunday, October 4. The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, The Honourable David C. Onley, will attend and speak at the ceremony. 
57 Rideout St. garden named Red Rose of Lancaster

At the Town's Ajax in Bloom awards ceremony, the garden at 57 Rideout St. was named Red Rose of Lancaster - awarded to Ajax's best garden.
Review the design for the Community Centre & Park 
Sportsplex revised
Residents, youth, local community groups, and interested organizations are invited to review the draft concept design and provide input for the new Community Centre & Park, to be located at Sportsplex Park. 
Town secures 1,050 future jobs in latest OMB Decision
The Town of Ajax is pleased that the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) has preserved 70 net acres of prestige and general employment land in Ajax that will create approximately 1,050 high paying, high quality jobs in the future for Ajax residents. 
Opportunity to review draft concept design for St. Francis de Sales renovation
St. FrancisAjax Town Council has approved the renovation and interior plans for the former St. Francis de Sales Church to become a multi-use Arts, Cultural and Performance venue in West Durham.
Fire Prevention Week: October 4 to 10, 2009
Ajax Fire & Emergency Services is joining other safety advocates to remind children and adults about fire safety during Fire Prevention Week, October 4 to 10, 2009. This year's theme, "Stay Fire Smart - Don't Get Burned" will raise awareness about reducing the chances of injury by fire.
Time is "running" out to register for Run Ajax

Register today for Run Ajax before it's too late. Last year sold out with 300 participants, and this year's event is nearing registration capacity.  
Walk with Ajax to the 2010 Winter Olympics
Be a part of the Town's Pedometer Challenge, and help log the 6,250,000 steps needed to get from Ajax to Vancouver - the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
