Anti Idling LogoThe Town is conducting a survey to seek input on an Anti-Idling Strategy for Ajax in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
 
Council determined to protect employment lands 
Since Ajax Council approved its first Employment Land Strategy in 2004, the Town has been fiercely defending the conversion of key employment land areas with one goal in mind - to provide one job for every two people in Ajax. To date, the Town has spent close to $1.2 million in legal and consulting costs to keep its promise to residents.

The prestigious Ajax Civic Award was presented to Don Terry in the Adult Category and Catherine Spagnuolo in the Youth Category.

Anniversary ReunionOn September 26, 2009, Veterans of HMS Ajax, HMS Exeter, and HMS Achilles will visit Ajax to celebrate the 70th Anniversary Reunion of the HMS Ajax & River Plate Veterans Association, and honour those currently serving overseas.
