Children Involved in The Ministry of Trinity
Trinity continue to reach out to the Youth of our community - through Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School, youth trips to summer camps like Stony Lake and Camp Lutherock - as well as weekly Confirmation classes for Junior High Youth, Monday Night Football and pizza for High School kids, as well as trips to Traverse City for pizza, movies and the Great Wolf Lodge! The youth thank you for your great support of their ministries!
Please consider a gift to the Youth of Trinity - we are currently looking for people to support our youth Scholarships for Summer Camp. The cost of a week at Stony Lake is about $350, and $450 for Camp Lutherock. These experiences provide the foundation of our Youth Group, and build lifelong connections between our young people and the church.
Thank You!

Loving The Community
Trinity continues to reach out to the community with support through fundraisers for people in need, the local schools use our Community Hall for a special testing site, and numerous groups gather at Trinity to do their good works - these groups include: The Community Band, Quilting groups, Plant It Wild, Periwinkle Garden Club, LOVE, Inc., Paul Oliver Hospital - and of course, Habitat For Humanity Benzie County boths meets here, and has their office located in our Education Wing. Our theme is this: We grow stronger as a congregation the more we serve others in our community in the name of Christ.

The Gospel's Surprise
The gospel of God is the promise of new life we experience in Christ. A lot of denominations focus on the issues of the day, the moral stances they figure are correct and good, and the good works to accomplish our salvation - but not us. Luther said that when the grace of God in Christ, and the law of God conflict - we are to always choose Christ! The gospel gives us the freedom to live lives that are raised from the dead. But we are not to stop there, we are to raise others from the dead by the way we forgive, love and share God's mercy! This is the surprise of the gospel. If we only love, forgive and show mercy the way that others expect it - what gift from God is that! At Trinity, we are called to surprise others through faith! (...and to be " dogged" in our persistence!).

Thanks Are In Order!
Trinity offers thanks and praise to the following people who have shared some special gifts recently... Ann and Steve Loveless for the wonderful work of art that now hangs in Trinity's Library (and thanks to Chuck Anderson for hanging it!). Take a moment to reflect on this incredible gift, and notice who it is offered in memory of. Prints of this gift may be available for purchase soon. David Hill for the gift, and construction of, our useful and handy new Kiosk. Usually located in the Community Hall - this has become the "central hub" of information sharing at Trinity. Harry and Laura Clark for the wonderfully-tasty gift of popcorn! Enough to get us through the summer and into the Fall - that is, if you don't visit too often! Mr. and Mrs Anonymous who have donated such things as the new Coffee Cart, purchased 50 new hymnals, constructed and donated the dolly for the new glasses in the kitchen - so many other countless ways to lead this congregation in generosity!
Thank You so much - for your weekly gifts to the General Fund, the Capital Campaign, the Youth Group scholarships, Habitat for Humanity, Benzie Area Christian Neighbors... and countless other ways.

PRAYERS
There are a number of people in our congregation, and friends of Trinity, who have recently been diagnosed with cancer and other illnesses... or have had major surgery. We cannot name them all here, but please check the weekly bulletin and the monthly newsletter for their names - and an opportunity to lift their names to God.
Some you might remember to include in prayer...
Beth Stevenson - home and recovering from the hospital Bill Bacon - home following surgery Cal Dummer - recovering well after surgery
Some others have requested that they names not be made public quite yet - but please continue to root your life and your love in prayer.
Thanks be to God!
