 Sat Yoga Announcements Community Kirtan Concert: This Thursday at 7:00pm!
ASO Yoga Festival: This Sunday at 11:00am!  This Thursday at 7:00pm, the Sat Yoga Institute will be holding a community kirtan concert with it's new band, Anuttara. This concert will ease one's entry into a meditative and devotional state of consciousness, as well as to help the band prepare for its concert at the annual yoga festival, "Yoga Para Todos" this weekend. At Thursday's concert everyone will have the chance to learn the sacred mantras that we will be singing at the yoga festival on Sunday. After the concert on Thursday, Shunyamurti will lead a guided meditation and then finish with a question and answer session. In order to plan for Thursday's concert, we ask that you please RSVP for this event.
On the following Sunday, August 26th, at 11:00am, Shunyamurti will be giving a teaching at the yoga festival. Following the teaching, Anuttara will be holding a concert at the main amphitheater. We hope you will all be able to attend both of these exciting events to help support the sangha!_____________________________________________________________________________

Sat Yoga Glass Jar Drive Dear Community Members,  The Sat Yoga Institute is now in the process of collecting glass jars/bottles. If you have any glass jars or bottles, you can bring them to your next visit and Yogiraj or another karma yogi will be receiving them ( please do not leave the glass jars without first speaking with YR or another designated yogi about the appropriate place to store them). We ask that jars or bottles you bring be made of glass ( NOT plastic),be clean, and have their lids. As long as they fulfill these requirements, we will be very appreciative of your donations. What Is To Be Done?
The above title is a famous one, written by Lenin to guide the forces of the then-coming Communist Revolution in Russia. Now we face another revolutionary situation, far more wide-ranging and multidimensional than the merely political factors that the Bolsheviks faced. We now need a celestial revolution, one that is transcendent, cosmic, and ethically impeccable. But the world today has not yet discovered its Lenin. We need an adept revolutionary guide-and the will, on the part of a new global cadre of revolutionaries of consciousness, to live according to pure, egoless, revolutionary self-discipline.
Our new Lenin will have to be a Lennon as well, one who can sing the spontaneous melodies of our souls, their yearning and their suspicions, our lack and our love. Our Lennon/Lenin must also be a quantum Buddha/cosmic Christ/eternal avatar of the nameless Tao. Our guide must be one who dwells in silence, and sees the One Self in all. The Jewel in the Lotus of the Apocalypse: Mysterium Delirium Tremendum
Many are under the illusion that our current world crisis is simply a matter of global financial meltdown, worldwide political/military power struggles, and planetary climate change. But the situation is actually of vastly greater import than that. The entropic avalanche of disintegration is producing new protoplasmic and pneumatic pools of possibility, nuanced noetic niches that can withstand the nuisance of annihilation.
We are, among other levels of analysis, in the midst of an extraordinary evolutionary mega-mutation. Humans are evolving into a new species-and not just a slightly improved animal; an almost inconceivably different variety of non-carbon-based life forms.
Many people talk about our becoming transhuman, but there is a great deal of pedestrian confusion and cyber-infatuated wishful thinking as to what that implies. Our transmutation is so radical that our current level of consciousness cannot grasp the nature of the quantum leapfrogs some of us are now becoming. Read the full teaching... |

Alchemy and Ecstasy at Sat Yoga Ashram
 Sat Yoga's June retreat, "Alchemy of the Atman," was an experience faithful to the metaphors contained within the alchemical literature: it was a sublimatio, a transformation of the lead of the infantile ego into the gold of the soul; it was a purificatio, a melting away of the lower chakra sanskaras in the fire of Divine Love; and it was a liberatio, a complete transcendence of the ego-consciousness. The retreat allowed participants to experience both the alchemy of the ego, referred to in alchemical literature as the transmutation of lead into gold, and the alchemy of the atman, the realization of the philosopher's stone, the True Self that one already and always is.
